Stewart County High School Announces

Star Student and Star Teacher

Stewart County High School would like to congratulate Ms. Tyneshia Nelson and Mrs. Dwanna Carter for being chosen as the 2017 SCHS Star Student and Star Teacher recipients.

Tyneshia is the daughter of Mr. Tyrone and Mrs. Kesha Nelson. She has attended Stewart County Schools throughout her entire educational career. Although she has always been successful academically, it still was a pleasant shock to her to be selected as this year’s Professional Association of Georgia Educators (PAGE) STAR student for our school. 

Tyneshia chose Mrs, Dwanna Carter to be her Star Teacher.  Mrs. Carter has been in education for 13 years.  She is currently an Analytic Geometry and Coordinate Algebra teacher at Stewart County High School.  She was Tyneshia Nelson's 10th grade Analytic Geometry teacher.  Mrs. Carter said that Tyneshia is a very motivated and meticulous student of whom great things are expected.

  Tyneshia and Mrs. Carter will be recognized at the February 14, 2017 Stewart County Schools Board Meeting at 6:00 PM in the Stewart County Elementary School Media Center.
